Along with our partners we have Strong knowledge of 3GPP, and OMA standards within the domain of application software and firmware developed on 3G/2.5G mobile handsets and specialize in mobile device testing

Comprehensive understanding of telecom operator requirements to satisfy within 3G/2.5G mobile handsets for most of the operators within Europe and North America.

we have Proven experience in analyzing, and architecting a system-in-system solution for embedding 3G modems with notebook computers.

A brief on the technological challenges we try to counter here include:

  • Architecting a solution to adhere to host PCs that adhere to the ACPI host and device states.
Design of a GPS (Global Positioning Service) solution to incorporate latest advances in this field such as – Stand alone, Assisted GPS – SUPL, and LTO.
  • Temperature studies on the host PC due to continued usage of the module for internet
connectivity, and/or GPS located based services.
  • Design of a robust radio network connectivity service that seamlessly handles various RABs – UMTS, HSxPA, and also controls all specifics related to handover technology between 2/2.5G and 3G and vice-versa.
  • Effective handling of the communication between the module and the host PC over a
USB interface that complies with the upcoming Win 7 expectations.
  • Studies on the possibility to upgrade the USB communication with the use of the SPI interface – to ensure optimal power consumption.
  • Ensuring effective usage of the module to connect to the internet both as a dial-up
    modem and via Ethernet.
  • Boot strap provisioning of content present within USIMs for enabling users to connect to service providers to register themselves before first use.
